We are born with muscles and bones, Padding the spaces between our spines, Here and there, transcending to Intoxication, steamy & ferocious, Attacking the cerebral inconsistencies. Fragrance blooms from the lumbar, Attached to our blood. Evaporates when we move. I guess, umm! Evaporation changes blood into Grief, Protruding towards the sky, Sinking into the seaweed. We must stand still, Or the Images will be blurred.

Nidhi Agrawal, who grew up in India, focuses on issues of emotional and physical trauma in her poetry. She strongly believes that poetry is a deal of joy and pain and wonder; a tool that keeps her going in life and is driven by the intense physical and emotional trauma she has encountered through her medical condition.
